Brian Byrnes

President/CEO , Santa Fe Community Foundation
Brian Byrnes is the President & CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation and has led a variety of large and small philanthropic organizations on both coasts prior to moving to Santa Fe in 2009, including the Vermont Community Foundation, Tides Foundation and Chez Panisse Foundation. Brian also brings a successful history in nonprofit management and community activism to his views of philanthropy and service. As a values-driven leader of social change organizations, he practices what he learned from having studied organizational development, organizational and relationship systems coaching, and facilitative leadership. He believes that individuals and communities are naturally resourceful, creative and whole and that the most important job of the leader is to unleash the creativity and resourcefulness of others in the service of making the world better for everyone. He moderated a session with LSF in 2010. This year, he will facilitate each civic awareness day.

Community and Coalition Leadership Institute, supported by the NM Department of Health, 3. and Leadership Santa Fe.
