Applying to Leadership Santa Fe involves the following steps:
- Completing the online application
- Committing to participation requirements
- Paying the tuition fee

SESSION I: BEGINNING RETREAT/ORIENTATION
Day 1: Friday, September 25, 2009, 8:30am - 8pm
Introductions; A study-tour of Santa Fe; Opening reception in the evening for class and Governing Committee members to meet and greet
Day 2: Saturday, September 26, 2009, 8:30am - 3pm
Self as Instrument; Who am I as a Leader?; Recognizing and Appreciating Your Leadership Story; Identifying Patterns and Themes; Understanding Group Norms and Agreements
SESSION II: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Day 1: Friday, October 23, 2009, 8:30am - 5pm
An interactive morning and tour with a panel of experts in the area of business & economic development in Santa Fe and an introduction to Strengths Based Leadership Day 2: Saturday, October 24, 2009, 8:30am - 3pm
Authenticity; Self-awareness off Strengths and Preferences; Strength-Based Leadership; Mental Models; Personal action planning to address leadership and community issues
SESSION III: YOUTH AND EDUCATION
Day 1: Friday, November 13, 2009, 8:30 am - 5pm
Interaction with leaders in the area of youth and education in Santa Fe and a chance to engage in ‘Community Conversations that Matter—the Crossroads Question’
Day 2: Saturday, November 14, 2009, 8:30am - 3pm
Effectively Leading Teams; Stages of Team Development; Personal action planning to address leadership and community issues

Interaction and a study-tour with leaders in the area of health in Santa Fe and an introduction to Effectively Leading in Community
Day 2: Saturday, March 13, 2010, 8:30am - 3pm
Community Conversations that Matter; Valuing Differences ; Effective Communication; The Six Essential Tasks of Community Leadership—Part I; Personal action planning to address leadership and community issues
SESSION V: GOVERNMENT
Day 1: Friday, April 9, 2010 , 8:30am - 5pm
Interaction and a study-tour with leaders in the area of government in Santa Fe and an introduction to Inspiring Creative Leadership
Day 2: Saturday, April 10, 2010, 8:30am - 3pm
The Six Essential Tasks of Community Leadership —Part II; Finding Your Voice; Listening to Others; Creating a Possibility Statement; Personal action planning to address leadership and community issues
SESSION VI: ELEVATING NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
Day 1: Friday, May 7, 2010, 8:30am - 5pm
Developing effectiveness in non-profit board participation and leadership; NGO governance and servant-leadership in Santa Fe
